  1. Cameron Says:

McGehee’s been benched for me and Cabrera’s up there now. Not sure how long he’ll stay, but I think I can rightfully say I cleaned up this year. Should be fun. Best of luck, folks.

  2. Raul Says:

    My picks were so shitty.

    I should contract my team.

    :-(

  3. Raul Says:

    BTW,

I think The Royals Fan picking Matt LaPorta with pick 352 was excellent.

  4. Chuck Says:

So, is Thomas listing the teams in projected order of finish from bottom to top?

  5. Hossrex Says:

    Regarding: “Ryan Theriot (291)”

My father and I were listening to the Cubbie game over the internet last year. Right before the game was about to go to commercial you could quietly, but distinctly, hear Pat Hughes say with exasperation “Ryan Theriot… the man is average at best.”

To this day, our nickname for Theriot is “Mr. Average At Best”.

Especially funny considering how highly Pat and Ronnie regard him when they’re aware of the microphone being on.

  6. Raul Says:

For whatever value it may have, Ryan Theriot’s OPS+ was 83 last year.

  7. Chuck Says:

“I think The Royals Fan picking Matt LaPorta with pick 352 was excellent.”

    For you, yeah.

  8. Hossrex Says:

    WHITE LIGHTNING

Harry Doyle: “I was told, however, that the movie was in focus.”

  9. Raul Says:

    Sit on it, Chuck.

Getting a guy that’ll crack 20 homers that late is pretty good.
    lol

  10. AdamWhite Says:

Hey – where did my pick for McCann go? Got him in round 3.

  11. Chuck Says:

“Getting a guy that’ll crack 20 homers that late is pretty good.”

    Oh, sorry, my bad.

I didn’t know you were counting Triple A stats too.

  12. Hossrex Says:

    Raul: “Sit on it, Chuck.

Up your nose with a rubber hose!

    I GOTTA NOTE!

  13. Raul Says:

    LOL

  14. Cameron Says:

I felt LaPorta was worth a bench spot. Guy’s got RoY talent and could probably do it. He’s starting at 1B for the Tribe and then will move to LF when Branyan’s back. I think he’s batting 5th or 6th in the order… I dunno, he was a good choice for a late round.

What I’m worried about is sitting on Carlos Santana. He’ll be called up once he’s been in AAA long enough to avoid being a super 2, but I still can’t help but feel I should’ve stocked up on another bench pitcher (even though I think platooning Arroyo and Wade Davis should do me just fine.)

  15. Cameron Says:

And Raul, your pitching may really drop off, but your offense has the chance to go hand-over-fist in runs scored and RBI for the most part.

  16. ThomasWayne Says:

    Adam,
Sorry…Mr McCann was left off by mistake. He has been added in.

All the names started running together after a while….lol.

    Thomas

  17. Cameron Says:

Crap, Reimold’s benched for Pie for a bit while he works on getting his legs back.

Glad I’ve got Fowler as my 4th OF.

  18. Chuck Says:

You have bigger issues than Reimold, Cameron.

Guys with multi-postitional eligibility lose them if they play exclusively at one position for the first month.

As of May first, without appearances there, Adam Dunn and Matt LaPorta will lose their OF eligibililty, leaving you with two OF’s and three 1B’s.

  19. Cameron Says:

LaPorta’s slated to be the LF for the Indians once Branyan’s healthy again. If not, then it’s a matter of who to move. I’m pretty sure I could get good return for either of them.

  20. Cameron Says:

Oh… Once he’s… Crap. I wasn’t planning on having LaPorta take an OF spot anyway, but I see where you’re coming from.

  21. Raul Says:

    Chuck, you in the league?

  22. Chuck Says:

    No

  23. Cameron Says:

Whew, Branyan should be back by the second week. LaPorta’s safe. That makes me shift Dunn to the Utility spot when/if he loses OF eligibility, LaPorta’s 4th OF/Utility…

I think I’ve still got good depth. I’m not worried about my lineup so much as my pitching. It’s stacked with above-average guys at best, a bunch of mediocre guys at worst (and Joel Piniero, who I’m calling a gamble away from Dave Duncan).

  24. Cameron Says:

And now Ross has calf issues? Damned if I can’t catch a break.

  25. Richard Says:

Yahoo typically keeps the multi-position eligibility throughout the season. Brandon Inge qualified as Catcher last year (all year) even though he never strapped on the shin guards. Jose Lopez, Gordon Beckham, Chone Figgins, et al will benefit from this quirk, although I personally don’t like it.

  26. Chuck Says:

“Yahoo typically keeps the multi-position eligibility throughout the season”

    No, they don’t.

  27. Richard Says:

    We’ll see

  28. Bastaducci Says:

Every league I (Tigers) have been in on yahoo has kept the eligibility they start with all year. although they will add another position if a guy plays a certain amount at another position.
